PROJECT OVERVIEW
Project Background
My business partners and I want to start a business that provides one-on-one private tutoring services, both online and on-site (e.g. home tutor, coffee shop or co-working space). We would like to develop a strong network and become a hub for quality teachers and tutors from all over the country.

Market Research
I conducted a survey of one-on-one private tutoring websites that already exist in the market to see how they designed their websites, how they organized the structure and content of their websites, what systems they used, what tools they used to create websites, as well as the process of receiving customer information to find tutors, storing tutor information, and delivering tutor profiles to customers.
Tools Research
After that, I searched for information and studied about creating websites with WordPress. I learned how to start creating a website, and learn to use suitable tools. I also learned about the components of the content structure and how they should be to write on my website.
02. IDEATE & DESIGN

After conducting a survey the market of one-on-one private tutoring websites, I started designing the website using Figma. The main pages of the website are:

Prototype
After finishing the website wireframe design, we proceeded to create a Prototype using a subdomain to demonstrate a clearer and more realistic website. During this time, we also added more pages to cover various aspects, such as:

– Course details for the main curriculum page
– Private tutoring rates page
– Reviews from students/parents page
– Membership system for tutors.

03. IMPROVING DESIGN
After testing all the systems in the demo website, we moved on to create the actual website and launched the website for customers who want to learn one-on-one tutoring in August 2021. After running the business for some time, we encountered some problems and started improving the website and adding new content to improve SEO.
Main Problems
1. Too many channels for registration
Having too many channels for registration has led to errors in communication and workflow.
– I have talked with the team and concluded that there should only be one channel, which is the LINE OFFICIAL channel, because based on the behavior of Thai people, they prefer to chat more than register on website.
– In addition, this also ensures clear communication and receive complete information without any gaps.
Improvement: Rewrite the registration process to make it easy to understand and clear.

2. Re-design Homepage
Improve the homepage to make it easier to read and more accessible.
– Reorganize the content from the first section to the end to effectively communicate with customers.
– Improve the appearance to be more modern and accessible to the main customer group, which are mostly parents and students.

After the 2nd version, it was found that the loading speed of the website, both on mobile and desktop, still had issues due to the use of large-sized images. Therefore, I have made optimizations to various details to enhance the performance.
